Wear-Tek began embracing the concepts, strategies and philosophy of Lean Manufacturing in 2005. From initial concept to production casting to finished product our seasoned professionals offer expertise in the following areas:

Patternmaking
In house pattern shop with traditional bench capabilities, CNC machined master patterns and shell core boxes from computer models.

Coremaking
Shell and no-bake.

Molding
Automated green sand production line; 20 x 26 matchplate with PLC controlled sand production, mold handling and shakeout.
Chemically bonded (no-bake) mold handling line; provides significant diversification of casting size and quantity as well as improved dimensional accuracy.

Melting
Two induction furnace lines producing 3000 pounds per hour.

Wear-Tek produces only high performance and high integrity castings consisting of the following alloys, in sizes ranging from less than 1 pound to 500 pounds (larger size and alternate alloy castings outsourced via our strategic partners).
